Her scars seemed to serve much the same purpose as the veins they were carved into. I kept my mouth shut; we all have our vices.
She locked herself in the bathroom one night during a party. She came out with puffy eyes and a thin ribbon of dried blood that slid from her forearm to her wrist.
“Don’t you care about me?”
She was draining more than just her blood.
